Controversial: Now Ryanair wants you to STAND UP during flights

RyanAirFollowing the series of cost-cutting measures  including charging passengers £1 to use the lavatory and a “fat tax” charging heavier passengers more to fly, Ryanair is now planning to cut costs by making fliers perch on stools with seatbelts around their waists.

Chief executive Michael O’Leary has already held talks with US plane manufacturer Boeing about designing an aircraft with standing room. Mr O’Leary said he got the idea from the Chinese airline Spring, which said it could squeeze 50% more passengers on board and cut costs by 20%.

So, welcome soon on the first plane-underground?

Disclosure: Mr O’Leary, have you ever thought to launch some Pole Dance/exotic Dance Class around the new “bar stools”? It could help for those who refuse to travel with pay toilets and standing room :-)

Ho, and by the way, what about people in wheelchairs?
