All Virgin America flights now Wi-Fi enabled

Virgin America announced all of its planes are now equipped with Wi-Fi service.

Although Oprah did not yet confirm it on twitter, it might be true ;-)
The California-based airline is using Aircell’s Gogo broadband in-flight internet service on all of its flights and will charge.

  • $12.95 for daytime flights over three hours
  • $9.95 for daytime flights of less than three hours,
  • $5.95 for red-eye flights
  • $7.95 for handheld devices.

Hosting a chat from a plane at 37,000 feet to Oprah Winfrey in her studio is a fun example of how Virgin America is embracing technology and meeting the needs of consumers who want to stay connected.

Enjoy your wiflight ;-)
